Kleinkloof has been here a long time. The olive trees, the stone paths, the long afternoon light; none of it was designed for photographs. It simply is what it is: a working olive farm in the folds of the Piketberg Mountains, honest and unhurried.
Set along the R366 in the heart of the Swartland, Kleinkloof looks out across the Rooi Karoo towards the Winterhoek mountains. In summer, the light is long and golden. In winter, mist settles low and the fireplaces earn their place. Through it all, the birds don’t stop.
The olives grow slowly, pressed from trees that have stood here for generations; cold-pressed, pesticide-free and harvested by hand. Guests are welcome to wander with their dogs.
The mountain water runs cold and clean. The birds start early. The day opens up slowly, with nowhere particular to be — just a plunge pool, a wood-fired hot tub, and the quiet luxury of time that belongs to you.
Kleinkloof offers its guests space to breathe. Enough stillness to remember what rest trul feels like. Dogs are welcome. Children are welcome, with adult supervision around the pool areas.
Kleinkloof is located 90 minutes from Cape Town.
From Cape Town, take the N1 then the N7 north towards Piketberg. Through town, follow the R366 for approximately 14.7 km to the farm.
Kleinkloof is a working olive farm. We ask that you bring the same respect you’d offer any wild and working place. Pool and terrace areas are unfenced; children require adult supervision at all times.
